About CODE 3 First Aid

"Employee feedback was overwhelmingly positive,"

We decided to change it up and try a different service provider for first aid training at our organization, and Ryan was it!  Employee feedback was overwhelmingly positive, everyone valued the professional experiences of Ryan and his team as they integrated the teaching of life-saving techniques with real life examples of what actually happens in an emergency.  Ryan and his team have a calm, easy-going way about delivering high quality training so that all learners feel that they are capable of learning first aid and getting it right should they ever need to use it.  Learning first aid through quality teaching, professionalism, humour, patience...it's a great experience!

CODE 3 is a fully mobile First Aid service provider.  Whether it be teaching in your company’s boardroom, small office space, or living room, we come to you and bring all necessary equipment, CPR manikins, and course materials.  We strive to make learning First Aid and CPR as comfortable as possible for you, your friends, or staff.  Our courses are fun, engaging, and hands-on.

Owner, and lead instructor, Ryan Ward is Professional Firefighter and Red Cross Instructor Trainer. On a daily basis, Ryan’s life-saving knowledge and skills are tested in real life emergencies.  He is passionate about helping others and passing on his expertise through a hands-on teaching philosophy.  Ryan believes recognizing a medical emergency and learning how to perform proper CPR and administer First-Aid, are life skills everyone should have the opportunity to learn.

We had Ryan provide level one First Aid / CPR training for our front line and management staff and it was a very educational, safe and professional experience. Learning to properly administer First Aid is a pass or fail process which can create nervousness and anxiety among the students. In our case we had staff members of various age groups and experience / knowledge of first aid processes and human anatomy. Ryan was able to ensure that all members of our team felt comfortable and safe by ensuring to provide additional clarifications and attention to those who required it more while still ensuring all participants were being taught and examined according to the established protocols.

Ryan provided ample opportunity for our team members to voice any questions they had during the instruction as well and was very patient and convenient when showing procedures repeatedly to ensure everyone was performing the techniques correctly. We were also pleased to be taught methods to ensure that if we were ever in a scenario to perform first aid that we knew what to do to ensure we were also safe and how to avoid harm. Ryan also aided our facility in purchasing a defibrillator and made sure that we followed the procedures correctly for its storage, accessibility and regular maintenance.

I would recommend Ryan to instruct your group or staff on First Aid training for the reasons listed above as well for his personal experience having performed life saving techniques on individuals in distress and his ability to articulate what we can expect to be experiencing if we are ever in that position (to perform CPR) and can be better prepared for it.
