Course Descriptions

Infant/Toddler CPR & Choking 
This 2hr information course focuses specifically on infant/toddler CPR and choking. This is a great course for new parents, grandparents, and caregivers.  Host a group of your family and friends in the comfort of your own home.  There is no need to arrange for a babysitter, infants/toddlers are welcome to be present.  This is a general knowledge course only, no certification will be issued. 

Cost:  $200 for up to 10 people.  Please contact us for group rates for 10 or more people.

CPR C with AED 
​A 6hr course developed by the Canadian Red Cross designed for the general public.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Check, Call, Care
  • Barrier devices/pocket masks
  • Breathing emergencies
  • Adult/child/infant choking- Conscious and unconscious
  • Adult/child/infant CPR - one rescuer (30:2 ratio)
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

Cost $70 includes tax, course materials. ​Minimum of 4 persons needed.

Standard First Aid and CPR C with AED 
Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Preparing to Respond
  • The EMS System
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway Emergencies
  • Breathing & Circulation Emergencies
  • First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest

Cost $160 includes tax, course materials. ​Minimum of 8 persons needed.

Emergency First Aid and CPR C with AED 
Emergency First Aid with CPR C w/AED is a one-day 8hr course developed by the Canadian Red Cross.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Preparing to Respond
  • The EMS System
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway Emergencies
  • Breathing & Circulation Emergencies
  • First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest

Cost $90 includes tax, course materials. Minimum of 4 persons needed

BLS (Basic Life Support)  
​Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

This course covers the following topics:

  • Check, Call, Care
  • Primary Assessment
  • Breathing emergencies
  • Assisted Ventilations
  • Basic Life Support special considerations
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
